    The SANFL Players' Association is an organisation run by SANFL players, for SANFL players. Its purpose is to represent players’ interests, improve conditions, and work collaboratively with the SANFL to strengthen the competition.

  • Why was the SANFLPA created?

    The SANFLPA was established to give players a stronger collective voice on matters including remuneration, wellbeing, scheduling, and playing conditions.

    Players are the heart of our competition, and deserve a seat at the table.

    The SANFLPA advocates on behalf of players regarding:

    • Pay and remuneration

    • Training commitments

    • Player wellbeing and mental health

    • Career and off-field development

  • Is the SANFLPA independent from the SANFL?

    Yes. The SANFLPA is an independent incorporated association run by elected players while working collaboratively with the SANFL.

    The SANFLPA is governed by a volunteer player-elected board consisting of current and former SANFL players.

    You can support the SANFLPA by becoming a member, following and sharing our initiatives on social media, attending events, and advocating for improved conditions and opportunities for SANFL players.
